Welcome to AWALE North East UK
AWALE North East UK is a community organisation bringing together people of Ivorian heritage and friends of Côte d’Ivoire living across North East England.
The association promotes unity, solidarity, mutual support, community cohesion and the celebration of Ivorian and African culture and heritage. AWALE supports its members during difficult or exceptional circumstances and also develops activities that benefit the wider community.
Through community events, cultural and educational activities, youth and family support, health awareness, information and signposting, AWALE aims to improve wellbeing, strengthen relationships between communities and encourage positive integration and participation in UK society.
AWALE also seeks to build partnerships with local authorities, health and education professionals, charities, community organisations and other institutions to create opportunities and deliver projects that positively impact its members and the wider community.
